Waynesboro, VA – The Wayne Theatre is proud to announce its upcoming production of William Shakespeare's timeless classic, Romeo and Juliet, opening on February 14, 2024, Valentine's Day. This iconic story of love and tragedy will run on weekends from February 14 through February 23 as part of the Wayne Theatre's Live, Laugh, Loathe season of onstage productions.
Set in the streets of Verona, the story follows the ongoing feud between the Capulets and the Montagues, a conflict that sparks tension and heartbreak. At its heart lies the passionate and ill-fated love story of Romeo and Juliet, brought to life in a way only the Wayne Theatre can perform.
Audiences will experience the drama and romance as it unfolds:
“We are thrilled to bring this timeless masterpiece to the Wayne Stage,” said Tracy Straight, Executive Director of the Wayne Theatre. “Our production captures the essence of Shakespeare’s iconic work while delivering a fresh and unforgettable experience for today’s audiences.”
"This will be an opportunity for audiences of all ages to experience Romeo and Juliet as you’ve never seen it before. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Shakespeare or new to his work, this production is sure to captivate and inspire", adds Straight.
