WAYNESBORO, VA   – April 2, 2025 – The Wayne Theatre is pleased to announce the addition of Stacey Strawn to its team. A longtime Shenandoah Valley resident, Strawn brings extensive experience in marketing, online sales, and community engagement to her new role in development at the theatre.

Strawn, a Tidewater native, fell in love with the Valley while earning her undergraduate degrees in Theatre and Communications at James Madison University. She later pursued a Master’s in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University. Over the last three decades, Strawn has owned and operated a successful online gift business on Main Street, served as a marketing director, and continuously immersed herself in the local arts scene.

Although new to the formal development arena, Strawn sees her position as a natural extension of her background. “It’s really about matching people with the right experiences,” she explains. “Instead of selling a product, I’m sharing how live performances and community programming at the Wayne can enrich lives and bring us all together.”

Strawn’s lifelong enthusiasm for music and performing arts fuels her determination to attract new and diverse audiences to the theatre. “We all need spaces where we can connect through art,” she says. “The Wayne Theatre offers a chance for people to experience something memorable — whether it’s musicals, tribute bands, or discovering the next big act.”

The Wayne Theatre’s Executive Director, Tracy Straight, welcomes Strawn’s passion and vision. “Stacey’s energy, along with her proven ability to build relationships, is exactly what we need as we continue expanding our programs,” Straight says. “We are thrilled to have her on board.”
