This original docuseries, Life in the Heart Land Season 2, from VPM Virginia’s home for public media and Staunton’s Deep Structure Productions gets to the heart of rural Virginians creating community-driven solutions to their toughest challenges.
Topics explored share a common thread of generational change that you’ll hear addressed during the series’ new clips and live panel discussions from local neighbors with lived experiences and local organizations sharing helpful resources and how they’re tackling these challenges.
Join VPM, your neighbors featured in the series, and our community partners: The Valley Libraries, Community Foundation of Central Blue Ridge, Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum and VPAS (Valley Program for Aging Services), to celebrate the local storytelling and local programs and services that are enhancing your community and may help you address these challenges.
Robin and Linda Williams will perform their song written for VPM’s “Life in the Heart Land” docuseries as well as some of their own pieces!
Topics covered in the Season 2 series include Aging in Place, Community Journalism Veterans, Migrant Workers, Recovery and Forestry.
