March 11: PUSH Physical Theatre
Season finalists on TruTV’s national series, Fake Off
Award-winning PUSH Physical Theatre brings a talented group of performers to the Wayne Theatre on Saturday, March 11, at 8 p.m. for an event that resembles a live action movie.
Tickets are $26/$28.
Early Booking for Members is available. Join our Partner in the Arts program now for early booking.
Tickets go on sale for the public on Monday, December 12, 2016, at 12 a.m. EST.
The performers inspire awe with physical illusions and gravity-defying, dance-infused, acrobatic high-jinx. It’s cool, it’s athletic, it’s a perfect metaphor-in-motion; the narratives of our lives played out with hope, strength, and optimism.
These masters of physical storytelling captivate audience attention and ignite their emotions. Once you’ve experienced the myth and magic of PUSH you will know the strength of the human soul expressed by the power of the human body.
TruTV’s national series, Fake Off, in which PUSH became the season finalist, elicited this from judge and Glee star Harry Shum Jr.: “You guys are superhuman!”
PUSH’s repeated sold-out performances have led to creative collaborations with the National Institute for the Deaf and Rochester Institute of Technology, during which PUSH created “Red Ball,” using iPad technology. Choreography for the Pulitzer-nominated cantata “Comala” resulted in a Mexico and US tour.
The Wayne Theatre is located at 521 W. Main St. in Waynesboro.
