City Council Debate at Wayne Theatre on April 19

The Wayne Theatre will serve as the venue for a News Virginian-sponsored Waynesboro City Council debate on Tuesday, April 19, at 7 p.m.

The race for the At-Large seat has two candidates: Nancy Marion Dowdy and Terry R. Short Jr.

The Ward A candidates are Elzena M. Anderson and John H. “Sonny” Smith Jr.

The Ward B race features incumbent Bruce E. Allen and challenger Jerry C. Campbell.

News Virginian editor Brian Carlton will serve as moderator for the event, with questions submitted from local residents.

Questions may be submitted through April 16 by email to bcarlton@newsvirginian.com.
