The Wayne Theatre Alliance has raised $800,000 over the past four months and was recently approved for a $6 million loan to finish the renovation of the Wayne Theatre, a historic downtown landmark.

Hunley running for the Wayne!
Jonathan Hunley, editor of The News Virginian, will be running in the Navy-Air Force Half Marathon on September 16. The marathon helps to promote Naval District Washington’s Defenders of Freedom Appreciation Day. It is an Appreciation Day for all Department of Defense personnel. In addition to raising awareness for this noble cause, Hunley will be racing to raise funds for the Wayne Theatre.
