April 24: Ward Hill Lamon-Lincoln’s Bodyguard

The Wayne Theatre presents Ward Hill Lamon-Lincoln’s Bodyguard on Tuesday, April 24, at 7 p.m.

Ward Hill Lamon was a personal friend and self-appointed bodyguard of President Abraham Lincoln.

Lamon was famously absent the night Lincoln was assassinated at Ford’s Theatre on April 14, 1865, having been sent by Lincoln to Richmond, Virginia.

Bob O’Connor, the speaker, is a nationally recognized Civil War author who has been named Finalist four times in The National Book Awards competition.

Admission is Pay What You Will.
